Miami-Dade ramps up mosquito spraying after dengue case confirmed in Allapattah

The locally-acquired case is the county's first of the season, officials said.

Miami-Dade Mosquito Control trucks will run nightly through next week after the health department confirmed a locally-acquired dengue case in Allapattah.

Residents are urged to drain standing water and use EPA-approved repellents at dawn and dusk.
